Hattie Larlham, a long term care facility dedicated to providing services to people with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and special needs, has an opportunity for a part-time Physical Therapist. (PT).
The PT povides physical therapy evaluations and defines treatment and programs (including preparation, evaluation, and documentation) for all Hattie Larlham residents in assigned settings to assure maximum health and well-being. This may include specialized evaluations for orthotics, mobility equipment, and adaptive equipment. Assist in direction and supervision of therapy staff (LPTA) to assure that excellent therapeutic service and best practice standards are implemented.
The PT must have graduated from an accredited school with a degree in Physical Therapy and must hold a license to practice PT in the State of Ohio. Eligible for the ODE licensure. Maintains current Ohio licensure as a Physical Therapist. Maintains Pupil Services licensure from the Ohio Department of Education. Maintains current BCLS and First Aid certification.
Six to 12 months of experience in the field required. Experience in working with medically fragile children, children with cognitive/developmental disabilities, and children with Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred. Knowledge of current regulations and trends is desirable.
