Job Description

Hattie Larlham is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities and improving the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and special needs throughout Northeast Ohio. Hattie Larlham is currently seeking a Human Resources Recruiter to provide support to source and on-board top candidates and assist with the overall Human Resources (HR) function.

The Human Resources Recruiter (Recruiter) is a vital part of the HR team responsible for development, implementation of a wide variety of recruitment activities. The Recruiter will interview candidates for a variety of positions including Direct Support Professionals, Home Managers, Nursing staff and other Community Service positions throughout the organization. The Recruiter will work closely with the Human Resources Manager to review staffing needs and establish recruitment plans.

The Recruiter will administrate the Hattie Larlham hiring process by reviewing resumes and applications, and performing telephone and in-person interviews. Conducts background checks, reference checks and other necessary research to maintain our high hiring standards. Responsible for creating letters and documents related to hiring process.

Implements the recruitment plan for Hattie Larlham by actively seeking new and effective methods for recruitment of prospective employees. Participates in job fairs and conducts high school, college, community presentations and other public speaking regarding employment opportunities. Responsible for all recruitment advertisement to community newspapers and all social media sites. Creates and develops recruitment marketing materials for distribution at special events.
Coordinates and updates job postings on the Hattie Larlham website. Creates, updates and routes job postings for internal candidate bids. Extends a contingent employment offer to selected external and internal candidates and schedules the candidate for employment on-boarding and orientation.

Maintains recruitment statistics and monthly recruitment reports on advertising, recruitment activities and number of applicants generated by recruitment methods to help maintain companywide statistics. Maintains database for tracking application pool including applicant disposition.

 

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related degree preferred. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, HS Diploma/GED with minimum five (5) years' relevant recruitment experience.

Previous experience with recruitment preferred. Knowledge and entry-level experience human resource generalist functions (i.e.: employment practices) preferred. Must have a valid OH driver's license and must be able to travel locally and throughout OH. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision. Must have excellent organizational skills, set priorities and meet deadlines. Must possess and demonstrate professionalism in manner and appearance.

Must be able to problem solve, use critical thinking skills and take initiative to make decisions in all aspects of recruitment. Must be able to communicate and deliver excellent customer service to internal customers and external community contacts. Must be able to address small and large groups.

This is a part-time, position.
